Gandhi Chowk

Gandhi Chowk is the most famous and main attraction in Dalhousie. It is a shopping place because there are many different types of shopping material available. Formerly known as GPO, Gandhi Chowk is a spirited plaza with abundant bistros and shops.Among the many shops situated here is the Tibetan market is worth a visit as it sells multiple goods ranging from traditional handicrafts to electronic goods. There is a coffee shop known by the name of the Dalhousie cafe area, it is a rabble place filled with the visitors. During winters there is no place to stand up in the front of the shop. It is the main attraction for the tourists and local peoples.

The majority of the shops is huddled in and around Gandhi Chowk,which hardly takes 15 mins from the central bus station. Skilled Tibetans create and sell a wide range of articles such as jewelry, jackets, handicrafts, rugs, cardigans and carpets, woolen cloths, shawls. One can also find superior quality in tiny shops apart from the well-founded shopping malls.

With memories of the British regime, this opposed Church in Dalhousie is a reminiscent of the Victorian period. This soaring formation is a doublet of the Roman Catholic Church of England. Built in the year 1863, the Church happens to be the sanctum in the city. It is located on the Gandhi Chowk, around 2 km from the main bus stand of Dalhousie, this aesthetic building bear historical significance. Visitors can reach there by taxi or on foot.

The Church library houses a rich compilation of books and rare photographs, which precisely describe the history and culture of Dalhousie. This superstructure is nested in the backdrop of pretty surroundings. Though impaired, this Church contains the stain glass portholes that add to the beauty.

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary and Dainkund are some nearby attractions to visit.
