The Khajjiar town and lake is at the distance of 22 km from Dalhousie. It is not a lake actually. It is an enormous grassland surrounded by wide ranging pine trees all around which give such a panoramic view to the whole place, In this place, there are many cottages and hotels in which tourists have to stay for a day or a week. One can spend even a whole day here, walking on grass, playing games, huddling for an antakshari, drinking the occasional juices, soft-drinks, people come up to you and sell, eat cotton candy, feed fish in the pond, grab a bite in any one of the eateries, take a small ride around the place.
